DEATH OF ME

EVAN’s first mini album, “DEATH OF ME,” stands out for its determination to take hold of the reins of tangled emotions and move forward. On this album, EVAN reveals his most honest inner self, refusing to hide or shrink back under any gaze. His voice, made clearer after passing through a tunnel of swirling emotions, offers listeners a deep sense of immersion along with a new sense of hope. Following his debut single “RIDE OR DIE,” EVAN once again took the lead in the entire production and creative process of his first mini album, bringing his own story to the forefront. Rather than simply remaining a vocalist or performer, the overwhelming talent of a “self-producing artist” who creates and shapes his own path is woven throughout all eight tracks, including the title track. The title track “Death of Me,” which shares its name with the album, is a weighty pop R&B track that captures EVAN’s unwavering determination as he embarks on a new beginning. Having participated directly in the songwriting and composition, EVAN delivers a powerful message of steadfastness, conveying his resolve that no one can stop him (“Ain’t the death of me”) and that he will never lose himself. The album is filled with a diverse range of tracks: the pop track “Not Enough,” which captures his ambition to dive into the wider world in pursuit of all that he still desires; the pop R&B track “Noise,” which expresses his determination to maintain his own pace amid the noise of the world; “Ride or Die,” which conveys raw desire through alternative rock; “Twilight,” a UK garage-based pop track depicting the desire to remain in an enchanting moment; “Immature,” an alternative rock track about continuing to take steps forward despite being imperfect; and “Overflow,” a mellow indie pop track. The album reaches its conclusion with “Going Home,” a dream pop track that warmly embraces the journey toward one’s own destination.
