I’LL LIKE YOU is an album that trails five girls of limitless potential and curiosity for the world, as they explore who they are in the context of a relationship - with friends, perhaps a crush, their fans. In their debut album SUPER REAL ME, ILLIT focused on capturing thoughts and feelings around the idea of ‘my true self.’ With their 2nd Mini Album I'LL LIKE YOU, ILLIT addresses an expanded range of experiences that comes into play in understanding oneself, telling the story of the 'self' that becomes deeply immersed in their encounter with 'you' they wish to get closer to. The five members of ILLIT navigate through the wildest dreams of their imagination, strive to define the ‘self’ in the context of their relationships, and in the end, decide for oneself what truly matters - to cherish the feelings and thoughts of my own. Five irresistible tracks comprise I’LL LIKE YOU. ”I’ll Like You” establishes the enigmatic yet charming undertone for the rest of the tracklist. The lead single “Cherish (My Love)” builds on the energy with its addictive chorus, and is followed by the 2-step garage track “IYKYK (If You Know You Know),” the dreamy “Pimple,” and the dynamic pop track “Tick-Tack.” Resembling the turbulent nature of teenhood, the infectious tunes that express ‘my’ feelings for 'you' are sometimes heavy-hearted and sometimes cute, sometimes confident and uncertain at others. The lead single “Cherish (My Love)” captures ILLIT’s confident charm, as they unapologetically declare ‘I want to know how you feel about me, but my feelings for you are more important than just that.’ The dance pop track features an addictive chorus that sings “Ch ch ch ch cherish my love,” painting a picture of a girl who stays focused on understanding what her own feelings are in the moment and acts on those feelings to no regret.
